Sunshine Cleaning - Christine Jeffs (2008)

        Eh. Not worth watching. I like Alan Arkin and Emily Blunt, but the movie was pointless which is bad, but it was also not comedic in any way, which is worse in this circumstance.

Dogville - Lars von Trier (2003)

        Ok... it's like watching a play and it's 3 hours long, but IT is worth it!  Lars von Trier is becoming a favorite of mine.  The message is woven into the film so fluidly. By the end, I was amazed.  I thought it was gonna be a dud at first - glad I stuck with it.

It's not boring, just totally different-looking and not very attractive. Obviously the way it's filmed ties in with the meaning/symbolism.

Watch it!

The Reflecting Skin - Philip Ridley (1990)

          HOLY shit.  This movie is amazing. Horrifyingly beautiful.

I don't want to explain the story - you don't need to know all it's about ahead of time.

Watch it.  Right now.

Mysterious Skin - Gregg Araki (2004)

           Pretty tough movie to watch - most people would be disgusted, appalled.  However, I really appreciate the message.  The actors are great - probably my favorite Joseph Gordon-Levitt role.  It is made really well - dialogue, character development, cinematography. So...

Watch it.       It's worth it.
