Tyrannosaur - Paddy Considine (2011)

Really really good. Basically, everybody's fucked up no matter what they look like. We fucked up people connect through our problems and can offer each other something helpful just by being together. It's sad, but not tragic - actually feels hopeful. GREAT acting - you can feel so intensely what they feel.

Watch it. Please, watch it.

Another Earth - Mike Cahill (2011)

LOVE it. I enjoy the pace of this. The story is really interesting. Nothing about this is boring. The only problem with it is the videoing in that it feels fake in some parts, but it's also really pretty most of the time. It could be intentional... either way, it's not bad or annoying enough to ruin the movie. Overall, it's beautiful.

WATCH it.

The Brown Bunny - Vincent Gallo (2003)

Terrible movie. I really like Buffalo '66, so I tried this. Too many fucking long shots. Only about 15 minutes of the movie tells the story. The ending tries to be shocking, but I was just ready for it to be over.  Sorry Vincent and Chloe, but this sucked.

Never watch it.

Spider - David Cronenberg (2002)

I enjoyed this. Ralph Fiennes is one of my favorite actors - he was great in this. He totally captures you in a genuine and lovable way. It's very slow, but peaceful, and contemplative. I feel like the pace and cinematography pulls you into how Fiennes' character thinks and sees things - you're just floating along with him in every situation. It entraps you... like a spider web. yep.  Very very good.

Watch it watch it watch it.

Palindromes - Todd Solondz (2004)

I liked it. The message wasn't bad, but it was made way too obvious - a speech from one character explaining the whole concept of palindromes and how that applies to life. However... the ending stunned me. It was like "Bam. holy shit. " Nothing crazy happened, but it made the message come freakishly alive.. made me feel a little sick. I think it's worth watching. Definitely interesting and different.

Watch it.

Cube - Vincenzo Natali (1997)

Well, I did not enjoy it. It does a good job of sucking you into the story - so much suspense... god. One of the characters is absolutely horrible - I wanted to see him suffer a gruesome death. His development was pretty crazy. The acting/dialogue is weird, almost fake, but may be on purpose. Overall, it's pretty stupid except for the autistic guy who's really cute, HOWever it is entertaining and would be fun to watch with a group of people. Watching it alone was not fun.

Don't watch it, or watch it for cheap entertainment. :)
